COLLABORATION
Whether it was providing edits and feedback on articles and scripts to ensure we didn't accidentally publish a new episode of The Chris Farley Show or wrangling dozens of staff members to build and curate our biggest Best-Of lists and Game of the Year awards, here you'll find samples of work that has big Group Project energy.
THE BIG SHOW
A gaming site's biggest non-news day of the year is when it announces a major award or huge site-wide feature. During my time on IGN's features team I worked with teams across the entire company to produce our Game of the Year awards as well as our annual wrap-up content and the massive updates to some of our biggest ranked lists.
The Best Games of the Decade (2010-2019)
The video covers the staff's picks for their favorite game from each year, while the full list is on IGN.com
IGN's Top 100 Games of All Time
Our 2021 update to the Top 100 Games list was the first time we'd truly revised this list in a meaningful way, and it was no small feat to get the team to reach a consensus on what exactly the ordering should be. You can find the full list on IGN.
EDITS & FEEDBACK
Nothing is ever perfect on the first draft, but some content requires more substantial edits and workshopping before they're ready to be produced and/or published.
According to one author, "You wrote the best article I ever wrote."

Explainer: How Modern RPGs Still Draw
From Their Tabletop Origins
A deep dive into the relationship between tabletop and digital roleplaying games, and how they continue to play off one another to this day. It's a long read, but (in my admittedly biased opinion) a fascinating one.
How PT Redefined Urban Legends for the 21st Century
This piece had an interesting core and some smart analysis throughout - but was initially in danger of being too reminiscent of The Chris Farley Show. The final product, however, came together well and was eventually transitioned into a video essay.
Mass Effect: The Entire Story So Far
Another collaborative effort initially submitted by a freelancer, this covers the entire story of all four Mass Effect games and all of its DLC expansions. The initial draft of this script was over 10,000 words - so believe me when I say: this is the short version.

Streets of Rage's Long Relationship With Real-World Protests
During the height of the protests during the summer of 2020, this began as a personal essay and evolved into a researched retrospective with developer interviews from the most recent game.
LISTS & ROUNDUPS
or, Top 5 Listicles I Made For IGN (#3 Will Shock You)
In the months leading up to the launch of the PS5, we decided to take a look back at the best games of Sony's Gen 8 console.
